• 2008 Speak-Off Contest, Placer County winner! — Clarise Bankus won the Placer County portion of this year's California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD) Speak-Off contest. She came in third at the regional level. Congratulations, Clarise!

Recent Accomplishments

Workshop attendees at the "Washoe Fire Site" in Tahoe discuss erosion control practices

In 2007 the RCD, in partnership with the USDA-NRCS, continued to provide erosion and sediment control recommendations to farmers, ranchers and residential property owners throughout the District, including ten workshops for over 400 people. This, and other key accomplishments, are highlighted in the 2007 Annual Report.
